Katie Risko

Katie was born and raised in Delaware. Katie obtained her Bachelors of Arts from The University of Delaware in Human Services with a minor in Leadership. Upon graduation, Katie became a member of the Brandywine Counseling team for three years, where she was tasked with the provision of group-based therapy services. Next, Katie completed her Master's Degree in Administration of Human Service from Wilmington University, as well as a Master's degree in Social Work from Western New Mexico University. Since then, Katie has obtained her LCSW in Delaware.
Katie provides therapeutic services to adults and families that have faced a wide range of mental health and social issues. She has a passion for helping others and is experienced in integrating evidence-based psychotherapy techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with Holistic care. She is trained in trauma resolution energy therapy and EMDR. Katie is passionate about whole-body holistic approaches such as nutrition, nervous system regulation, sleep hygiene and somatic therapy. Additionally, she has experience and training with eating disorders and disordered eating patterns. Katie is full of enthusiasm and excitement and looks forward to working with clients to realize their hopes and aspirations, reach their full potential, and live the life they have dreamed of.
